As recently reported in the ABC News, SBS News and the Bundaberg News Mail the potable drinking water bore located at Dr Mays Rd Svennson Heights was immediately withdrawn from service once the high levels of PFAS were evident. Rural residents serviced by Bundaberg water cartage operators can rest assured their potable drinking water is not sourced from this bore. Council allocates three locations within the Bundaberg confines for cartage operators to source their drinking water deliveries; University Drive, North Bundaberg water tower and Cattermull Avenue.
